A Helping Hand For The Fireries

The Melton and Moorabool Weekly newspaper reported that our Diggers Rest CFA crew were helped out by a quick thinking Janine Meyer and her daughters Shelby and Jemma. The girls took the initiative to raise money with their Facebook friends. While the crew was battling the fires around town, Janine rushed to buy some drinks and food for refreshments.

The CFA don't ask for much and put their lives on the line for our safety. So it was a great idea and the crews were pleasantly surprised when they received the gifts.

Its not the first time residents have brought drinks to the Diggers CFA. The Skinner family quickly took refreshments to the crews when the Hotel and Post Office burned down several years ago. Other folk have also taken the initiative to help.

The CFA really appreciate our gratitude. Can you think of other ways to support them?
