Lions Club - A Great Way Of Making Life Time Friends

The Lions Club of Diggers Rest does a lot of good for people in the area but there's a lot more for the guys than just being a community service.

The Lions Club of Diggers Rest is a very strong club that puts friendship and loyalty first. The Lions know that family and work come first before friends and the community.

The Lions make a promise to be kind to others and never discuss politics (football arguments are permitted - so long as nobody picks on the Bombers). The club meets twice a month to discuss business and join in for a social dinner.

Nobody is expected to do more volunteering than they want but every Lion is a true friend.

Does this kind of club get anything done? You bet. The Lions club has been behind the most of the community activities for the past 31 years. Most the local historical monuments are a result of the club, many auctions and fairs were run or sponsored by the Lions, and typically over $10,000 is raised and donated to people in need every year.

It is a great club but the numbers are gradually declining. If you are over 18 years old, would like to make great mates, and do a little for others then contact the President (Rob) on 9740 0440 or Membership Chairman (Charles) on 9740 1230 to find out what the club does.

There's no obligation to join because you need time to find out whether you and the club are a good fit.
