Brad Radclyffe will host the third annual Kruze 4 Kids event, with proceeds going towards the Royal Children’s Hospital

As a five-year-old Brad was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, spending countless hours at the hospital.

In recent years he has combated some of the disease’s worst symptoms — he has lost part of his foot and is almost blind.

But he has so far refused a seeing eye dog believing others need them more and is content that his three-year-old daughter Tahlia and dog Axel will help him get around.

And despite his setbacks, the car enthusiast is determined to build on the more than $13,000 raised at the first two Kruze 4 Kids events.

“I got to do a lot of things despite my diabetes and I want to make sure kids in the hospital now can achieve some things for themselves,” Brad said.

The cruise departs from Sunbury’s Langama Park at 9.45am on Good Friday.

At noon there will be children’s activities, rides, a silent auction and music at the oval.

Kruze 4 Kids is also supported by the Lions Club of Diggers Rest and Animal Land.

Its a great day out and we'll be there with Brad.
