A 2015 ANZAC Day in Diggers Rest

The Lions Club of Diggers Rest and a Committee of the ANZAC Centenary are hoping to erect a war memorial in time to celebrate the 2015 ANZAC day.

A grant is being submitted to the Australian Government’s Anzac Centenary body to erect a monument at the Diggers Rest train station and to hold a ceremony to reveal the structure. The local council, along with Sunbury and Melton RSL clubs, are supporting the initiative and the chances of building the memorial are pretty good.
