Gisborne Steam & Engine Rally And Tractor Pull - 18 May 2014

The Annual Rally and Tractor Pull is a big day with many hundreds of people attending.... Society members, visitors from other clubs, and the general public.

All efforts are made to have all the Society's activities on display and operating.

Visitor exhibitors free, and basic camping facilities are available for exhibitors who wish to camp on Saturday night.  Exhibitors who travel some distance often arrive and set up on Saturday afternoon, and enjoy hospitality and a meal in the evening.  Exhibitors must be able to show evidence of current insurance.

Attractions and activities at the rally include....

  • Vintage Stationary Engines and Machinery.
  • Vintage Tractor Pull.
  • Threshing, Baling or Chaff Cutting Demonstration.
  • Big steam in operation: Traction Engine, Steam Roller, Portable Engine, Perry Loco.
  • Classic and Vintage Cars, Trucks, Tractors.
  • Machinery Museum.
  • Vintage Ploughing Demonstration.
  • Scale reproduction operating Steam Roller, Traction Engine, Steam-Powered Car.
  • Train Rides.
  • Working Model Engineering.... Steam, Petrol, Hot-Air Engines.
  • Model Trains, Planes, Boats.
  • Art and Craft Stalls.
  • Market Stalls.
  • Kids Rides.
  • Food and Drinks Catering by the Lions Club. 
Location:  Gisborne Steam Park
Access to the Steam Park is via Webb Crescent, off Station Road, immediately north of the Calder Freeway. It is about 1.5km from New Gisborne railway station.

Date: 10 AM - 4 PM
